The 2023 NOME Annual Meeting was an event of great talks, inspiring novel ideas, awards and networking.

The day started with a mentoring session in the restaurant of Villa Copenhagen, before we moved into our venue for the day, where Peter Birk and Rebecca Guacan of NOME welcomed everyone to the event.

Soon after, all participants were flying around the room for their 3 speed-networking sessions, and the air was filled with lively discussions.

One-carbon therapeutics AB CardioSignal by Precordior NuPep Therapeutics Stratipath 2N Pharma and NaDeNo Nanoscience AS competed in the Startup Competition, for 50.000 DKK and an entry into the NOME Mentorship Programme – and at the end it was 2N Pharma that came out on top, after the vote. We want to extend a huge congratulations to the team – we can’t wait to work with them!

Mentor, Hans T. Schambye, came on stage for a very interesting and humoristic keynote on how to navigate the the world of biotech, while alumni, Armend G. Håti, shared the story of ClexBio with the captivated audience.

There was of course also time to hand out a few awards – one that is handed out each year, and a new award. The NOME Mentor Award went to Søren Anker Nielsen for his dedication to his mentoring, and the newly created Arvind Hundal Scale-Up Award was given to Hanna Sjöström for Neola Medical’s exceptional growth and as an inspiration to other startups in lifescience.

We ended the day with Holger Bech Nielsen and Jonas Kuld Rathje talking about the “nothing” of the universe, before dinner and drinks were served.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made the day very special – we can’t wait to repeat it again next year! Below you can watch both video and images of the event.
