Apply to the Startup Competition here.

The doors are now open for ambitious life science startups from the Nordics, Germany, UK and the Baltics to apply for the 2025 NOME Startup Competition—an exclusive chance to win entry into a prestigious mentoring network, alongside a prize of DKK 50,000 and a wealth of opportunities.

Organised annually by NOME, the competition is designed to identify the most promising companies in the life science sector and give them a chance to join NOME. The NOME programme provides two years of high-level mentoring, international exposure, and investor connections—entirely free of charge, with no equity taken.

While the DKK 50,000 prize is a welcome boost, the real value lies in gaining entry to the NOME mentoring programme. Traditionally an invite-only initiative, NOME matches startups with a tailored team of seasoned mentors drawn from the upper echelons of the life science industry. You gain a trusted team of experts who are committed to your success and have proven themselves in the industry.

Winning the competition also unlocks access to a five-day US camp, where startups engage in intensive workshops, market-entry discussions, and networking designed to help crack the world’s largest life science market.

Closer to home, participants benefit from exclusive investor days, where some of Europe’s top life science investors are invited for curated one-on-one pitches—opening doors that would be difficult for a young company to reach on its own.

How to Apply

Applications for the 2025 NOME Startup Competition are now open. The deadline is September 15th and the pitch will be on the 14th of November at the NOME annual meeting, if selected.

Eligible applicants are non-NOME companies within biotech, medtech, healthtech, industrial biotech, enabling technologies, sustainability and quantum technologies.
